What I Have Been Up To: Kissing Balls

No comments:
So, it's been a while since I last posted.....not because I am running for the hills; No, it's because I have been busy with mom duties and excitingly selling products from my Etsy store My Sparkled Life.

I have been creating what I like to call Vintage Paper Flower Kissing Balls!  They are fabulous and most importantly, I am in love with making them!!

Who is buying products like these you ask?  Well, my friends, my range of customers is vast.  I have several bridal themed kissing balls as well as customers looking to add a unique touch of decor to their home or office.

There are two major factors that I enjoy most about creating these products.
First: I get to have interaction with the client.  This is HUGE, I love talking to people and what better conversation than how I can create a product that they love!
Second: Making these flowers into what the customer has in their mind is probably the biggest reason why I don't get bored and move on to something else.  I love a challenge and this is right up my alley!

Currently, I am in the process of taking a GINORMOUS leap out of my comfort zone and trying my hand at selling in local boutiques.  When I say out of my comfort zone, I mean my heart is racing at the idea of sending an email or making a phone call to the owner of the store.  I hope that they don't think I'm crazy and delete my email or not answer their phone!  I know, I have issues....but don't we all! :)

Here are a couple of pictures of custom orders that I have previously made.

I would LOVE to know what your thoughts are about the product itself and also some ideas for how you would use these for yourself.

Master Bathroom Window Remodel

After moving into our new house, I realized that our large 46" x 46" window in the master bathroom was going to be a challenge.  We have the woods in our backyard, but that doesn't change the vulnerability that I felt when going to take a shower.  I wanted to be able to walk into the bathroom and enjoy the nature of our backyard without blocking the natural sunlight or purchasing new blinds.  So, with all major decisions that I make, I procrastinated, which by the way is not always a bad thing.  I just needed the time to think about how this was going to work.

Creative Exchange 2013

No comments:
So this is my first round in participating in the Creative Exchange hosted by The Grant Life, Covered in Mod Podge and Covered in Grace.  It wasn't something on my "to do list" but I can't help myself, I just love making something fun for a random fellow blogger.

I thought that I would bring to you some of my most favorite quotes that I have found on Pinterest.
This is not a list of ALL of my favorites, however, I have been inspired by them and hope that you will too.....that is, if you haven't already read them.

Christmas Fabric and Burlap Banner Pendant

No comments:
Since this is our first Christmas in our new home I decided that I was going to make SOMETHING to add to our lovely abode by making some holiday decorations to fit.  So, after much thought, I decided to create a beautiful banner pendant for our mantel.

Now, I've seen hundreds of pendants all over the internet and have always loved them, so it wasn't all that hard to see that I needed to go ahead and make one.  Here is a close up of this lovely piece of work!
